How the Scholarship Program Began:

What began as a simple family effort to support our relatives and community in Okigwe has grown into something far greater than we ever imagined.

Following our public works initiatives in the village, our family was raising funds internally so that families could enjoy a more meaningful Christmas holiday. During those conversations, we learned that several members of our family were already personally sponsoring children to attend school, helping ensure they had access to an education and a brighter future.

As our family continued discussing ways to support the community, extended family members and in-laws who overheard the conversation expressed a desire to help. Their generous contributions allowed us to do more than provide holiday assistance—we were able to sponsor a child's education for an entire school year.

Seeing the impact that a single sponsorship could make, we shared the experience with a few close friends. Their enthusiasm and support quickly expanded our efforts, and before long we were sponsoring four children.

What started as a small act of generosity soon revealed a much greater need within the community. Today, our mission has evolved beyond individual sponsorships and into a broader commitment to educational opportunity.

For the 2026–2027 school year, we have set an ambitious goal: to sponsor 40 students at a school in the village of Okigwe, Nigeria. Through these scholarships, we hope to provide children with access to education, empower families, and invest in the future of the community for generations to come.

This journey has been a powerful reminder that meaningful change often begins with a simple conversation and a willingness to help. We are grateful to every family member, friend, and supporter who has joined us along the way, and we look forward to continuing this work together.
